While not necessarily eager to show a before and after picture of myself online, I felt that making myself visible to everyone who visits drtereo.com would encourage and motivate anyone having difficulty with health issues.
I am hopeful that this brief story of my journey might just be the ounce of push that someone needs to move forward on their own journey. I hope to, at the very least, dismiss any doubts you may have, sufficiently, to give Dr. Tereo an opportunity to give you guidance towards the right path for you, through his expertise in chiropractic and his personalized wellness and nutrition services.
Fast forward to 2007. I found that I had the tools/resources I needed in front of me all along. Without any sense of judgment, I had my questions answered by Dr. Tereo. I started on an exercise program that was entirely different from what I’d been doing: more weightlifting, less cardio. What? Less cardio? I remember telling him “Okay, I’m going to trust you. I’m going to do it your way.” But believe me, I was apprehensive. I was directed to this website to see the many exercises he has listed. The exercises are easy to follow. There is a structure and form. A program that can easily be followed and better yet, customized. Because my body wasn’t used to this, I started losing body fat, yes, body fat, I’m unconcerned with the number on the scale. Another crazy thought? Not at all. Find the answers to BMI, Body Mass Index, on this site. And hang on, I eat more meals throughout the day.
The truly fascinating thing that happened is that I began enjoying my workouts. I’ve reached the point where going to the gym is one of my favorite parts of my day. It’s me and the weights. Of course, I still have days when I’ve had to shuffle commitments and responsibilities around to accommodate my gym time. And without a doubt, there have been days where going to the gym has meant bargaining with myself. Still, every time, the pros have easily outweighed the cons. I’m writing this in March 2008. This month I’ve achieved going to the gym for one year without fail; I’ve not missed a single day of working out in this one year. That’s not necessarily realistic for everyone, but get started. Work with Dr. Tereo to set some attainable goals for YOU; it’s the only you, you’re going to have.
In addition to the exercise program, I’ve worked with Dr. Tereo on staying aligned and ensuring that I’m taking the right supplements. When I’m free of aches and pains, aside from the self-inflicted aches and pains of the gym. I feel immeasurably better than I did in 2006 and prior. I’m entering the next phase of my life, in the best physical condition of my life. That’s saying a lot. Allow Dr. Tereo to evaluate you. You’ll find that with the right program, you’ll have more energy to do the things you truly enjoy. You’ll have enough stamina to keep up with your kids. Who knows, you might be setting the bar for your friends.
I’m uncertain I could write the right words to convey how good it feels to feel good.
I’ve kept my exercise fresh by changing the routine slightly from time to time. I read anything fitness and health related I can get my hands on. I try to become as informed as I can about my body and making my workouts the most effective workouts I can make them. I also set goals for myself. A current goal is to ride a Century (a 100 miles bicycle ride). I’m also studying the material to become a personal trainer.
