SMOOTHIE RECIPES

Home made smoothies are a quick way to get nutrients into your body because you can control the ingredients and the essential vegetable and fruit fiber is retained. Make up your own recipes. Send them in and I will add them to the recipe list. To ensure your smoothies are as nutritious as possible please refer to the following guidelines:

Sweeteners -- If a slightly sweeter flavor is preferred and blood sugar is not an issue I recommend using natural sweeteners like raw honey, real maple syrup or organic coconut palm sugar.

MCT Oil -- Medium chain triglyceride oil are more rapidly and easier to digest than other oils. Known as a thermogenic oil.

Base Liquid -- Strive to get away from using cow’s milk in your home-made smoothies. If you have access to raw organic whole milk that may be a good option. Other choices are organic coconut milk, almond milk or organic grass-fed goat milk.

Yogurt or Kefir -- use organic, unsweetened, whole milk products. These are fermented products which provide probiotic diversity.

Protein and Nutritional Enhancement -- I recommend the following for smoothie use as they provide good quality protein as well as essential vitamins and minerals. Both of the following can be purchased at the office. We can ship supplements as well.

Smoothie One
8 oz water (or coconut milk, almond milk or organic grass-fed goat milk)
1/4 to 1/2 cup berries
1 cup kale
1/4 banana (optional) or (raw honey, real maple syrup or organic coconut palm sugar) less is better
2 scoops *SP Complete + 1 to 2 scoops **SP Whey Pro if more protein is wanted
Optional: 1 tablespoon organic flax oil, coconut oil, MCT oil or olive oil
Put in blender and puree. Makes 1 serving.

Spinach Shake
8 oz water (or coconut milk, almond milk or organic grass-fed goat milk)
Lots of fresh spinach
1/4 banana or 1/2 an apple
2 scoops *SP Complete + 1 to 2 scoops **SP Whey Pro if more protein is wanted
Optional: 1 tablespoon organic flax oil, coconut oil, MCT oil or olive oil
Put in blender and puree. Makes 1 serving.

SP Original Recipe
2 rounded Tbs. of *SP Complete or **Whey Pro Complete
8 oz water (or coconut milk, almond milk or organic grass-fed goat milk)
1 Tbs. high quality oil (Cold pressed flax seed or Calamari Omega-3 oil)
1-1½ cups fresh or frozen fruit or vegetables
Put in blender and puree. Makes 1 serving.

The Green Drink
1 apple, cored and cut into chunks
1 pear, cored and cut into chunks
1-2 cups water
6 rounded Tbs. of *SP Complete or **Whey Pro Complete
2 lemons, juiced
1-2 inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
Hand full of kale leaves
Hand full of spinach
Hand full of chopped cabbage

Put in blender and puree. Makes 2-3 servings.

Blueberry Smoothie #1
1 cup whole milk plain yogurt
½ Cup water (or coconut milk, almond milk or organic grass-fed goat milk)
1/4 to 1/2 cup blueberrie
Drizzle of raw honey, real maple syrup or organic coconut palm sugar) 
2 scoops *SP Complete + 1 to 2 scoops **SP Whey Pro if more protein is wanted
Optional: 1 tablespoon organic flax oil, coconut oil, MCT oil or olive oil

Put in blender and puree. Makes 1 serving.

Blueberry Smoothie #2
1 cup whole milk plain Kefir
½ Cup water (or coconut milk, almond milk or organic grass-fed goat milk) 
1/4 to 1/2 cup blueberries
Drizzle of raw honey, real maple syrup or organic coconut palm sugar) 
2 scoops *SP Complete + 1 to 2 scoops **SP Whey Pro if more protein is wanted
Optional: 1 tablespoon organic flax oil, coconut oil, MCT oil or olive oil

Exotic Antioxidant Smoothie
1 cup whole milk plain yogurt
½ Cup water (or coconut milk, almond milk or organic grass-fed goat milk) 
¼ cup strawberries
¼ cup pineapple
Handful of spinach
Drizzle of raw honey, real maple syrup or organic coconut palm sugar) 
2 scoops *SP Complete + 1 to 2 scoops **SP Whey Pro if more protein is wanted
Optional: 1 tablespoon organic flax oil, coconut oil, MCT oil or olive oil

Pumpkin Pie Smoothie
1 cup whole milk plain yogurt or Kefir
½ Cup water (or coconut milk, almond milk or organic grass-fed goat milk) 
½ cup pumpkin puree
Cinnamon and Nutmeg to taste
¼ cup organic rolled oats
Drizzle of raw honey, real maple syrup or organic coconut palm sugar) 
2 scoops *SP Complete + 1 to 2 scoops **SP Whey Pro if more protein is wanted
Optional: 1 tablespoon organic flax oil, coconut oil, MCT oil or olive oil

Cherry and Almond Smoothie
1 cup water (or coconut milk, almond milk or organic grass-fed goat milk) 
1-2 tablespoons Almond butter
¼ cup cherries
Handful of kale
Drizzle of raw honey, real maple syrup or organic coconut palm sugar (optional) 
2 scoops *SP Complete + 1 to 2 scoops **SP Whey Pro if more protein is wanted
Optional: 1 tablespoon organic flax oil, coconut oil, MCT oil or olive oil

Apple Pie Smoothie

1 cup whole fat plain yogurt or Kefir
½ Cup water (or coconut milk, almond milk or organic grass-fed goat milk) 
½ Red Delicious Apple
Cinnamon and Nutmeg to taste
¼ cup organic rolled oats
Drizzle of raw honey, real maple syrup or organic coconut palm sugar) 
2 scoops *SP Complete + 1 to 2 scoops **SP Whey Pro if more protein is wanted

Red Smoothie
1 cup whole milk plain yogurt

½ cup cooked or raw organic beet roots
¼ cup strawberries
1 Tablespoon Organic Cacao powder or 2 tablespoons organic 
Cacao Nibs
Drizzle of raw honey, real maple syrup or organic coconut palm sugar)

1/4 to 1/2 cup cherries
¼ tsp vanilla
Handful of kale
Drizzle of raw honey, real maple syrup or organic coconut palm sugar) 
2 scoops *SP Complete + 1 to 2 scoops **SP Whey Pro if more protein is wanted

Coconut Smoothie
1 cup coconut milk
1/4 organic shredded coconut
¼ tsp vanilla
Handful of kale
Handful of spinach
1 tablespoon coconut oil or MCT oil
Drizzle of raw honey, real maple syrup or organic coconut palm sugar) 
2 scoops *SP Complete + 1 to 2 scoops **SP Whey Pro if more protein is wanted

Mayan Smoothie #1
1 cup water (or coconut milk, almond milk or organic grass-fed goat milk)
¼ tsp Cinnamon
Dash of Cayenne
Handful of kale
Drizzle of raw honey, real maple syrup or organic coconut palm sugar) 
2 scoops *SP Complete + 1 to 2 scoops **SP Whey Pro if more protein is wanted

Mayan Smoothie #2
1 cup coffee or espresso (chilled)
½ cup yogurt 
¼ tsp Cinnamon
Dash of Cayenne
Handful of kale and/or spinach
Drizzle of raw honey, real maple syrup or organic coconut palm sugar) 
2 scoops *SP Complete + 1 to 2 scoops **SP Whey Pro if more protein is wanted
